The story, On Christmas Eve in Victorian England, Ebenezer Scrooge, known as the
old usurer stingy and miserly, controlling things for the happiness of others,
refused to attend a Christmas party the other night, Fred and his family, and force
the underpaid employee Bob Cratchit to ask permission to the family for only one
day off. At night, Scrooge is visited by ghosts of a former business partner, Jacob
Marley, who died seven years earlier on Christmas Eve and is now forced to spend
the afterlife with a heavy chain was forged from his own greedy self. Marley warns
Scrooge that he will suffer a fate even worse if he does not repent, and predicted
that he would be haunted by three spirits who will help guide him.
